Sarah Ellen Eads Adkins, J.D., has focused her career on advocating for underrepresented populations. 

Prior to joining the University of Cincinnati College of Law, she was the Founding Executive Director of Neighbors Immigration Clinic, a nonprofit providing legal services to low-income immigrants.  At Neighbors Immigration Clinic, she spearheaded forming the board and fundraising while maintaining a caseload consisting of asylum, trafficking cases, DACA, and naturalization, among other types of cases.  Prior to that, Sarah served as an Assistant Attorney General under Andy Beshear in the Office of Civil and Environmental Law and handled civil litigation at every level of state and federal court.  She completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Judge Van Tatenhove of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.  Sarah began her legal career representing immigrants in a wide variety of cases at Maxwell Street Legal Clinic funded by a Public Service Venture Fund Fellowship from Harvard Law School.

Sarah obtained her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her B.S. from Campbellsville University.  While at Harvard Law School, Sarah served as Review Editor for the Latino Law Review, Vice President for the Harvard Africa Law Association, and participated in many clinics, including the Harvard Immigrant and Refugee Clinic and the Ghana Project Clinic.
